This is the message painted on countless walls in Soviet Estonia by a man who took his own life in 1989: “A cure to illnesses, proven to work: solitude, a bedroom with silence, darkness and a radio. Company — lodgings at someone’s home. Free meals. In these crcumstances after a certain biological duration, a person will discover a “way” to health. Praise and glory to the one who publishes this truth in the newspapers.”
